Heavy snow that fell across central and southeastern Minnesota on Friday left as much as 11 inches on the ground in some regions.
The National Weather Service reported that by 8 p.m., 11 inches of snow had fallen in Chaska and in the Stevens County town of Donnelly, and nearly that much in Red Wing. Burnsville got 8.7 inches. In western Minnesota, Starbuck got 10 inches while Madison received 9 inches.

The weather service posted a winter storm warning through 7 p.m. in an area starting near Morris and going southeast passed Rochester and into Wisconsin.
No significant delays were reported at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
