Ground will be broken today in Anoka for another Northstar Commuter rail station.
The Anoka facility is the third Northstar commuter rail station now under construction. In recent weeks ground was broken for stations in Coon Rapids and Big Lake. Construction will begin on a fourth station in Elk River this summer.
The $320 million Northstar commuter rail line is expected to be up and running by the fall of 2009.
At least 5,000 riders a day are expected to use the commuter rail line, which will run a 40 mile course between downtown Minneapolis and Big Lake.
