Red Cross moves Hugo service center to fire hall

The Red Cross service center in Hugo is moving.

The center will reopen at the Hugo Fire Department at 9 a.m. The Red Cross had been operating out of an elementary school. The fire department is located at 5323 140th Street North.

Red Cross volunteers will be providing assistance there for residents affected by Sunday's tornado. They'll be providing assistance with food, shelter, medical needs, mental health counseling and other forms of emergency aid.

The Red Cross is also serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at the American Legion, which is directly next door to the Hugo Fire Department.

The Red Cross is accepting financial donations for the victims of the Hugo tornado.

The Twin Cities Area Chapter has a donation hot line at 612-460-3700. Contributions are also being taken online at http://www.redcrosstc.org.
