Roma tomatoes are offered for sale at a produce store June 9, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois. Tomatoes are suspected to be responsible for salmonella related illnesses in at least 16 states. McDonald's said Monday it will stop serving sliced tomatoes in its U.S. restaurants until the source of the salmonella outbreak is discovered.
