Inventors get chance to show off

Inventors get a chance to show off some of their new creations starting today in southwestern Minnesota. The Minnesota Inventors Congress is holding its 51st annual convention in Redwood Falls.

Deb Hess, executive director of the group, says the convention is open to inventors and the public.

"We strongly encourage the public to come, that is a great value for the inventors, because they're test marketing their product. They want to find out what the public thinks. So when they come in they are helping the inventor validate whether there is a market for their product or not," Hess said.

Hess says patent attorneys and consultants will also be on hand to help inventors navigate the patent process. The two day conference will be held at the Redwood Area Community Center.
