Police respond to fatal shooting at hotel in Brooklyn Center

(AP) - Authorities say the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Brooklyn Center is the site of a fatal shooting.

Brooklyn Center Police Chief Scott Bechthold says one man was found dead at the hotel's front entrance. Police responded to a call of a disturbance outside the hotel at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police were interviewing hundreds of people in the hotel to gather more information.

Bechthold says there are no suspects in custody, but hotel employees are being let back in because police say the area is no longer dangerous.

The hotel was 80 percent occupied at the time of the incident.
