A group of Minnesota National Guard soldiers are expected to return home next week from their peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
The soldiers are from the D Company, 2nd Battalion, 135th Infantry Regiment based in Albert Lea.
Freeborn County Sheriff Mark Harig says a homecoming ceremony is planned when the troops return, which will be somewhere between July 10 and July 14.
The guard unit has been working in Kosovo with the international force whose mission is to keep the area violence-free.
