Republican congressional candidate Brian Davis has raised nearly $400,000 from April through June, including a $100,000 loan he made to his campaign.
Davis, a Mayo Clinic physician, is the GOP endorsed candidate in Minnesota's 1st Congressional District, but faces a primary challenge from state Senator Dick Day. The winner will take on freshman Congressman Tim Walz, a Democrat.
Neither Walz nor Day immediately released their second-quarter fundraising totals. The reports are due on July 15.
Davis raised $391,000 during the latest period, and finished with $376,000 in cash. His $100,000 loan comes on top of a $24,000 loan he made during the first quarter of the year.
