The Minnesota Vikings have declined to comment on allegations that they made inappropriate contact with quarterback Brett Favre. A person familiar with the complaint said that the Green Bay Packers have filed tampering charges against the Vikings.

Favre, a three-time MVP, held a tearful news conference in March to announce his retirement, but has since said that he wants to return. Favre has said that he felt pressured by the Packers to retire and now has been told that if he returns to Green Bay, it will be as a backup to Aaron Rodgers.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer talked with Sean Jensen, who covers the Vikings for the Pioneer Press.
