Nader plans rally during Republican Convention
(AP) - Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader plans a rally in Minneapolis on the final day of the Republican National Convention.
Nader's campaign says the rally will be a call to action for opening the presidential debates to candidates like him.
The rally is planned for the night of Sept. 4 at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis -- the same night that John McCain will formally accept the Republican nomination for president.
Nader, a longtime consumer advocate, is running with Matt Gonzalez, a former member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
