The second-longest running show in Twin Cities history is back after a hiatus of a few months. Triple Espresso -- which closed in April after a twelve-year run -- will return in November.
Triple Espresso is a story about three down-on-their-luck entertainers who've reunited on the 25th anniversary of a gig gone wrong.
The show's executive producer, Dennis Babcock, said it is coming back by popular demand. He said during the four months the show has been closed, he's received numerous inquiries about tickets.
"It just kind of became obvious to us that maybe we ought to come back for a limited engagement here at the Music Box Theater in Minneapolis. So that's what we're doing. A limited engagement, opening November 7. Re-opening, I should say," Babcock said.
Babcock said the show will probably run into early January, if there is demand.
About one-and-a-half-million people around the world have seen performances of Triple Espresso.
