(AP) - A sentencing date has been set for the woman convicted in a fatal school bus crash in southwestern Minnesota.

Olga Marina Franco Del Cid will be sentenced October 8 in Lyon County District Court in Marshall.

Last month a jury in Kandiyohi County found Franco guilty of four counts of criminal vehicular homicide in the deaths of four children from Lakeview School in Cottonwood. She was also found guilty of 16 other charges, including those involving the injured students.

Franco had testified in court that it was her boyfriend who was driving the minivan that crashed into the bus on Feb. 19, but the jury concluded it was her.

Attorneys for Franco have filed a motion for acquittal or a new trial, saying prosecutors presented inconclusive evidence during the trial that Franco was the driver of the van.
