(AP) - A Minnesota nonprofit that gives flu shots says it's marking down the price because of the economy.

The Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency gives the shots at hundreds of locations around the state. The agency says it's lowering the price from $35 to $28 to encourage all people to get vaccinated.

All proceeds from the MVNA's flu shot program support home nursing services for the poor.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend flu shots for children ages six months through 18 years old, pregnant women, adults age 50 or older, or anyone with chronic medical conditions.
