(AP) - The Mall of America plans security changes after a 5-year-old boy wandered onto the tracks of a roller coaster at Nickelodeon Universe.
The boy, who is autistic, was playing at a nearby toy store with his father and sister Saturday night when he wandered into the mall's amusement park.
Officials say the boy, who apparently loves rock climbing, was drawn to an artificial mountain on the Log Chute ride.
The boy ran up the stairs, climbed a security fence, went through a ride tunnel and eventually climbed over onto the tracks of a running roller coaster.
A park manager took hold of the boy, and he was returned to his family unharmed.
Mall of America spokesman Dan Jasper says the Bloomington mall is going to put up a taller fence to make sure such an incident doesn't happen again.
