Award-winning journalist David Sanger discusses the biggest challenges facing President Barack Obama.

David Sanger is the chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times, where he has been writing for over 20 years about foreign policy, gobalization, nuclear proliferation, and the presidency.

Sanger has twice been part of teams honored with the Pulitzer Prize. The first, in 1987, was for an investigation into the Challenger accident. The second was for coverage of the Clinton administration's struggle to control exports to China.

Sanger appeared at the Commonwealth Club of California to discuss his new book, "The Inheritance: The World Obama Confronts and the Challenges to American Power."
