Minnesota health officials say a second
case of swine flu has been confirmed in the state.


      The confirmed case was reported Thursday in the Twin Cities
metro area.

      The Minnesota Department of Health also says the number of
probable cases in the state has increased. The state now has 16
probable cases of what officials are calling H1N1 novel influenza.
Those cases will need additional testing to be confirmed as swine
flu.


      In all, state health officials have tested nearly 600 cases and
have 57 specimens that await testing.


      The World Health Organization said Thursday that up to 2 billion
people could be infected by swine flu if the current outbreak turns
into a pandemic lasting two years.
