Edwards has served as administrator of Charter House - a nationally recognized model for excellence in retirement living and long-term health care - and has taken on leadership roles in the American Association of Homes and Services for Aging (AAHSA) and the Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST). His most recent book is titled "Mom, Dad... Can We Talk?."
