Reactions to the Franken ruling

Politicians on the state and national levels, as well as other political observers, are weighing in on today's Minnesota Supreme Court decision declaring DFLer Al Franken the winner of the U.S. Senate race.

President Obama: "I look forward to working with Senator-Elect Franken to build a new foundation for growth and prosperity by lowering health care costs and investing in the kind of clean energy jobs and industries that will help America lead in the 21st century."

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: "The Senate looks forward to welcoming Senator-elect Franken as soon as possible. He will play a crucial role as we work to strengthen our economy, ensure all Americans can access and afford quality health care, make our country more energy independent, confirm the President's outstanding nominee to the Supreme Court, and tackle the many other challenges we face."

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine: "Today's ruling from the Minnesota Supreme Court marks the end of the line for Norm Coleman's legal battle."

Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman-elect Tony Sutton: "Today's ruling wrongly disenfranchised thousands of Minnesotans who deserve to have their votes counted."
