Minneapolis is celebrating its 70th Aquatennial celebration with the annual torchlight parade through downtown.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. It runs along Hennepin Avenue, starting at the Basilica of St. Mary and ending at 5th Street. It has traditionally drawn thousands of spectators.
The grand marshals for this year's parade are Minnesota Supreme Court justice and retired Vikings great Alan Page, along with local "American Idol" finalist Paris Bennett.
Aquatennial festivities continue through this Saturday.
