About 25 soldiers from bases in Minnesota and Illinois are being called to active duty.
The U.S. Army Reserve says it has called up soldiers from Fort Snelling, Minn. and Fort Sheridan, Ill. They're from detachments with the 847th Adjutant General Company.
The soldiers and their families will be recognized at a farewell ceremony Sunday morning in Fort Snelling.
The troops will be supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
