Today is the first day of the annual Hells Angels USA Summer Ride, and folks in the Duluth area are noticing more motorcyclists than usual.

A bar, The Lost Isle, outside Carlton, 30-miles south of Duluth, is the designated headquarters for the Hells Angels USA Summer Ride. It's a gathering of up to a thousand club members and their followers before they head to the annual motorcycle rally in Sturgis South Dakota.

Hells Angels have described the event as civil, and family-friendly. But law enforcement agencies statewide are geared up for trouble.

They expect motorcyclists to tour the North Shore and other parts of Minnesota before they head to Sturgis.
