The parade of Republicans angling to become Minnesota governor is winding through Rochester.
Several announced GOP candidates will take part in a forum Thursday night that doubles as a party fundraiser. It's being hosted by the Olmsted County Republican Party.
At least nine Republicans have said they will seek their party's nomination next year to replace the departing Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Most of the candidates are sitting lawmakers.
The Democratic field is equally crowded.
Republican candidates will have a sense of their standing in the race when the state party holds a straw poll at its October convention.
