Woman killed in mowing incident in SE Minn.

Authorities are investigating after a woman was killed in an apparent farm accident in southeastern Minnesota.

Jane Souhrada, 59, of Leroy, was mowing a field in Beaver Township on Monday when her tractor caught fire, the Fillmore County sheriff's office said.

Sheriff Daryl Jensen says it appears Souhrada tried to jump off the tractor and became entangled in the mower attachment. She died instantly.

Jensen says a family member found the tractor burning about noon on the edge of the field Souhrada had been mowing, and her body was found a short distance from the tractor.
