Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Sen. Amy Klobuchar are scheduled to speak at the deployment ceremony for 130 soldiers from Minnesota. It's Monday afternoon at Fort Snelling.
The soldiers are from the 372nd Engineer Brigade of the Army Reserve. They are going to Afghanistan on Operation Timberwolf.
While there, they will build and repair military facilities, bridges and roads. They will also mentor members of the Afghan National Army.
