Trooper hurt while chasing pranksters at Pawlenty's Eagan home

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper is back at work after sustaining a minor injury while he was chasing three juveniles allegedly playing pranks outside Gov. Tim Pawlenty's family home in Eagan.

An Eagan police report says three teenagers rang the doorbell at Pawlenty's home around 10:30 p.m. last Friday night, then ran off. The trooper gave chase, but fell and injured his hip.

A State Patrol spokesman says the trooper was treated that night at Region's Hospital in St. Paul, and has since returned to work.

Pawlenty, his wife and their two daughters split their time between the Eagan residence and the governor's mansion on Summit Avenue in St. Paul.
