The general manager of the Duluth News Tribune has been promoted to publisher.

Forum Communications Co., which owns the News Tribune and four community papers, has named Ken Browall as its new publisher, a job that has been vacant since last winter.

The 45-year-old Browall has worked at the News Tribune for nearly a decade. He was publisher of the Superior Daily Telegram before joining the News Tribune.
