'Mad Doctors' bring single-payer pitch to Minnesota

A group of physicians is coming to Minnesota today to lobby for a single-payer health care system.

The Oregon group, known as The Mad as Hell Doctors, is advocating for a system it says can insure every citizen.

The group's mission is to have its member doctors travel across the country to share their health care plan. They have made appearances in several states already, including Colorado, Washington, Montana and Idaho.

A town hall meeting in Mankato will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m.

Another town hall meeting will be held in St. Paul in the State Capitol Rotunda from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

The events are both free and open to the public.
