Homeless advocates to meet in Minneapolis

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a conference on homelessness starting Tuesday in Minneapolis.

The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless is marking 25 years of work.

Organizers say they expected homelessness to end by now but instead are dealing with a deeper problem because of the bad economy and budget cuts.

The event at the Hilton Hotel includes a gubernatorial candidates forum, silent auction and a discussion of education and homelessness.
