DFL governor candidates to converge on Rochester

All ten candidates seeking the DFL endorsement for governor will be in Rochester on Wednesday for a forum, Olmsted County DFL party officials said.

The event will offer residents in the Rochester area to hear from each candidate ahead of the precinct caucuses scheduled for February.

Olmsted County DFL Chair Lynn Wilson said the event's format will allow voters to have personal interaction with the candidates.

The event is being held at 6:30 p.m. at the Heintz Center Commons at Rochester Community and Technical College.

The DFL candidates for governor are: state Reps. Margaret Anderson Kelliher, Paul Thissen and Tom Rukavina; state Sens. Tom Bakk and John Marty; former state Rep. Matt Entenza, Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner, former state Sen. Steve Kelley, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and former U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton.
