Faribault man charged with producing child pornography

A federal grand jury has charged a Faribault man with producing child pornography with his cell phone.

Michael Angelo Borromeo, 38, was also charged Thursday with possessing child pornography.

According to the indictment, Borromeo coerced a child into engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which Borromeo recorded on his cell phone. The indictment also says Borromeo intentionally received dozens of child pornography images that he stored on his computer and cell phone memory card.

Borromeo was arrested in February and remains in custody in the Rice County jail.
