A 39-year-old man accused of exposing a Duluth woman to the AIDS virus without telling her has been sentenced to 90 days jail.
Jessie Allen Tuff pleaded guilty last month to the misdemeanor charge of intentionally inflicting or attempting to inflict bodily harm.
On Tuesday, the judge also fined Tuff $100 and ordered him to pay $332.26 in restitution for medical testing and transportation costs.
The 50-year-old victim, Debra Jean Miller, told police she had a consensual sexual relationship with Tuff in 2008. She learned he was HIV positive when she read an e-mail he received from his ex-wife, which indicated he had given her a disease.
Tuff apologized to Miller in court. She says she doesn't date and feels she's been branded for going public with the crime.
