Police arrest woman in Duluth hit and run

A 27-year-old Duluth woman has been arrested in a hit-and-run incident that left an 18-year-old man critically injured.

Duluth police said the woman is being held in the St. Louis County jail pending formal charges for criminal vehicular operation and other counts.

Alexander Balluf remains in critical condition at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth after being hit Saturday while walking with friends along the shoulder of Rice Lake Road. One of Balluf's friends was also hit, suffering an injury to his elbow.

Police were able to locate a black 2006 Honda CRV after receiving tips from the public, police said in a news release.
