Multi-semi crash near Winona causes major delays

Transportation officials are warning of major delays after two semis rolled over in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Highway 14 in southeastern Minnesota.

Delays were reported in both eastbound and westbound lanes between Winona and Stockton Monday morning after the crash, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation asked motorists to find alternative routes.

Maintenance crews must clear debris from the roadway, and delays were expected until about 1:30 p.m., said MnDOT spokeswoman Jessica Wiens. The semis, one of which landed on top of a car, will have to be removed from the road and ditches, she said.

Capt. Matt Langer of the Minnesota State Patrol said no one was killed in the crash, but there were injuries. Langer said he didn't know how many people were injured or how serious the injuries were.
