Ventura makes brief return to Minnesota Capitol

Former Gov. Jesse Ventura paid a surprise visit to the state Capitol Tuesday, but he didn't have politics on his mind.

Instead, Ventura stopped in to get a new "governor's ID card" from the Capitol Security office. Ventura says he calls it his "get-out-of-jail free card."

He tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press he's returning to his home in Mexico soon and he flashes the card when Mexican police try to shake him down at traffic stops.

While he says he's out of politics, he's not out of the spotlight.
