In Chile, Pawlenty to meet the president

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty reaches the tail end of his South American trade trip, he's getting an audience with Chile's president.

Pawlenty was scheduled Thursday to spend time with President Michelle Bachelet in Santiago. The two will meet at the 225-year-old building that serves as the country's seat of government.

The Minnesota delegation, comprised mostly of people trying to forge business ties, has been in Chile since Wednesday. The contingent was previously in Brazil.

In Chile, the governor has also visited with the U.S. ambassador and addressed a chamber of commerce event.

The delegation returns to Minnesota on Saturday.
