The mothers of three Americans jailed in Iran say they haven't been able to confirm with Iranian authorities that the three will be tried in court.

The families of Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd and Josh Fattal say they were trekking in northern Iraq on July 31 when they allegedly wandered into Iran and were arrested. Relatives say it was a harmless hike, but Iran's foreign minister said this week that the three would be tried in court.

The minister didn't specify charges, but an Iranian prosecutor has accused them of espionage.

Bauer's mother, Cindy Hickey, said Thursday that the families haven't been able to confirm a trial or charges. But Hickey says she's "open to movement" that would give them a chance to prove their innocence.
