Amish family hurt when buggy hit in western Minn.

An Amish couple and their baby are recovering after an SUV collided with their horse-drawn buggy near Bertha.

The Todd County sheriff's office says the family's buggy was rear-ended by a Jeep Grand Cherokee on a county road shortly after 9 p.m. Monday.

A rural Bertha couple and their 3-month-old son riding in the buggy were taken by ambulance to Tri-County Hospital.

Sheriff Peter Mikkelson tells The Daily Journal of Fergus Falls that he believes the injuries were not serious and that the family has been released from the hospital.
