A light snow in parts of Minnesota is falling on already icy roads, making for a slippery combination for motorists.
Dozens of crashes have been reported, and depending on the weather it could be a difficult commute for people in the Twin Cities area.
At least four vehicles were off the road on Highway 15 in Woodbury and rollovers were reported on several highways in the Twin Cities.
A dispatch center in the metro area said it was overwhelmed with reports of crashes and vehicles off the road. Another dispatcher said more than 10 cars were involved in a pileup on the Highway 610 bridge over the Mississippi River between Brooklyn Park and Coon Rapids.

One state trooper who radioed in from a separate crash scene said, "It's hard to even stand up out here."
State Patrol Capt. Matt Langer said drivers should use caution on highways.
"It's just the light snow on top on what is already a relatively slippery surface that's giving us the majority of the problems today," Langer said.
Langer said troopers will be ready for what could be a messy commute, but he asked that drivers think about adjusting their schedules.
"Be reasonable. If they have the opportunity to leave a little early or a little late, that helps a lot, rather than all leaving at the same time," he said.
