Minn. Lottery reports wrong winning numbers

Minnesota Lottery players who tossed away winning Daily 3 tickets because of a glitch might still be able to claim their prize.

The Daily 3 numbers drawn Saturday night - 4, 7, 3 - were shown correctly on television, and the correct numbers also were displayed at lottery vendors. But when someone at the lottery tried to manually input the winning numbers into the phone and online system, the system defaulted to all zeroes.

KSTP-TV reports the player hot line and Web site displayed the wrong numbers for several hours.

Players who tossed winning tickets need to contact the lottery and say where and when the ticket was purchased. The lottery can check the records, and players could still be paid.
