Weekend road closings on I-35W in Richfield
Motorists will encounter detours and increased congestion on I-35W in Richfield this weekend, when the southbound lanes close at the western junction of Hwy 62.
The closures begin Friday at 10 p.m. The roadway will reopen by Monday at 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35W and Hwy 62 will remain open during the closures.
The closure will allow construction crews to set bridge beams on the eastbound Hwy 62 bridge spanning southbound I-35W, as part of the I-35W/Hwy 62 Crosstown reconstruction project.
The Department of Transportation has asked motorists to follow posted detours during the closures.
