Infant dies after being bitten by Siberian husky dog
A Siberian husky dog bit a 10-day-old infant who then died, authorities in western Hennepin County said Friday.
The incident happened Thursday afternoon in Independence when the boy was in his car seat on a bed in the family's home, West Hennepin Public Safety officials said in a news release.
When rescue workers arrived, the boy was not breathing. They were unable to revive him.
West Hennepin Public Safety Director Ray McCoy said the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, his agency and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death.
The boy's name and cause of death was not immediately released.
