Best Buy notifies Reward Zone customers of error

Best Buy Co. is apologizing for an erroneous e-mail that gave some Reward Zone customers a highly inflated points balance.

A Best Buy representative could not provide an exact number of affected Reward Zone customers but says it was a small percentage.

Best Buy, the largest U.S. electronics retailer, is notifying those customers of the mistake. Best Buy says while it believes Reward Zone points are correct in customers' accounts, the Richfield, Minn.-based company is encouraging customers to verify their balance at www.myrewardzone.com.
