Arrest made in fatal Fergus Falls shooting

Police in Fergus Falls have made an arrest following the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old woman at a mobile home park last weekend.

Authorities say a 24-year-old Fergus Falls man is in the Otter Tail County Jail on possible manslaughter charges.

Investigators say 29-year-old Amanda Kemmer was shot in the chest during an exchange of a handgun at a home in the Lakeview Estates Mobile Home Park Friday about 10:30 p.m.

Police Chief Tim Brennan says the man in custody was attending a small gathering of friends at the home and was carelessly showing off a gun. Kemmer took the gun from Gray and was shot in the chest while Gray tried to retrieve it.
