Authorities say it appears the deaths of two newlyweds in the southeastern Minnesota town of Nodine were a murder-suicide.
On Feb. 23, Winona County deputies found 47-year-old Morgan Patrick Nederhiser and his wife, 49-year-old Debrah Nederhiser, dead on their bed. The couple's three greyhounds were also shot to death.
County Attorney Charles MacLean said Tuesday it appears Morgan Nederhiser killed his wife before shooting himself, but the investigation won't be complete for several weeks. Autopsy results are still pending.
Deputies went to the couple's home after getting a call from a minister who had received an e-mail from someone there. Officials aren't saying what the message said.
The couple were married in September.
