Man killed in south Minneapolis

A man was shot to death Wednesday evening on a busy street in south Minneapolis.

The shooting occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Street and Clinton Avenue South.

When police officers arrived, they found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. His name has not been released.

Investigators say the victim was in an altercation with at least one other person before the shooting occurred.

The homicide is the city's 11th this year.

Police do not have any suspects in custody. Investigators have asked that anyone with information call the TIPS Line at: 612-696-TIPS.
