MN bill aims to require insurance for indoor 'bouncy houses' for children

A Minnesota lawmaker wants to protect kids from bumps and bruises - or worse - while bouncing at indoor inflatable play centers.

A bill sponsored by Democratic Sen. Katie Sieben of Newport gets a hearing in a Senate committee Monday.

It would require indoor inflatable play centers to get liability insurance. It would also require them to have a trained employee supervise all bouncing.

This would apply to indoor play centers with bouncy houses and other inflatable equipment - not equipment rented for private home parties or at carnivals and other festivals.
