Southbound I-35W to close two nights for bridge decking work
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is warning motorists on southbound Interstate 35W about a detour they'll have to take Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Southbound I-35W will close at Highway 62 at 10 p.m. each of the nights and open by 5 a.m. the next morning.
Drivers following the detour will be taken west on Highway 62, south on Highway 100, then east on I-494 back to I-35W.
The I-35W/Highway 62 Crosstown reconstruction project continues. Transportation officials said the nighttime closures were needed for bridge decking work on the eastbound Highway 62 bridge.
