At least one person is dead and one person is in custody after a shooting in Rasmussen Woods Nature Area in Mankato.
The Free Press of Mankato reports that police have confirmed that a woman was found dead in the park Sunday, but the cause of death remains under investigation.
A suspect in a Cadillac Escalade SUV was later arrested after a chase that ended on a dead end south of Blue Earth County Road 90. The names of the victim and suspect were not released.
Witness Max Griensewic says he was walking near the park when he heard gun shots and saw smoke near the nature center's parking lot. He says at least one person had been shot through a windshield while sitting in a car.

Officers have closed the park. The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation.
