Rural Kragnes man killed in tractor rollover

A rural Kragnes man has died after the tractor he was driving rolled over in a ditch in northwestern Minnesota.

Clay County dispatchers received a call around 2:30 p.m. Saturday indicating that a tractor had rolled on top a man believed to be in his 70s, and that the people at the scene were unable to lift it off him.

Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist says first responders were sent from several communities in the area.

A medical helicopter from MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D., was also called out, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name was still being withheld Sunday.
