Minn. trucker injured in train collision in Iowa

Authorities say a Minnesota truck driver was injured when his tractor-trailer rig collided with a train near Meriden in northwest Iowa.

The Cherokee County sheriff's office says Junzhi Xiao, of Little Canada, Minn., was headed west on Tuesday when he entered a railroad crossing and collided with an eastbound freight train.

The sheriff's office says the flashing red signal lights at the crossing were working.

Xiao was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Officials on Thursday said he was in fair condition.
